37 Military Hospital commissions ultra-modern Blood Bank

The Management of the 37 Military Hospital in Accra has commissioned a new ultra-modern Blood Bank to provide quality healthcare and services to all patients.
The facility is the only ISO certified, putting it ahead of all Blood Banks in Ghana.
Speaking at the ceremony, the commander of the hospital, Brigadier General Michael Akwasi Yeboah Agyapong, said, the hospital will continue to provide quality services with discipline and professionalism to all patients.
“We will be guided by discipline and professionalism in providing quality service to all patients who access the facility,” he assured, while emphasizing that, management will strategize to ensure that stakeholders are involved in all activities of the hospital to create the needed enabling environment for staff and clients.
The Chief of Army staff, Major General William Azure Ayambo, reaffirmed the need for the staff of the facility to maintain the discipline and professionalism in the line of duty.
He claim the accreditation alone would not be enough but standards and maintenance must be the hallmark of staff and management.
“We urge the hospital command to adopt a maintenance culture practices to maintain the exclusiveness of the facility,” he said.
He also reiterated that the laboratory will guarantee confirmation checks and strict observation measures for safety reasons to all who access the facility.
Major Gen. Ayambo further advised all staff to continue the good ethical role they have always played, urging the hospital command to contribute in diverse ways to achieve the best of results.
The hospital disclosed that they attained this high standards through discipline, good conducts and focus and welcome other organisations and agencies who call on them for advice.
They also urged the public to develop the habit of living a healthy lifestyle.
