Radio presenter, Patience, known in media cycles as Abena Opokua Ahwenee, who joined Nkawkaw based Agoo FM in the Eastern Region a subsidiary of EIB Network has said goodbye to the station, Brytfmonline can confirm.
Reliable sources indicate the newscaster and political show icon, is set to host the first ever political Morning Show dubbed “EFA WOHO” on Dadi 101.1 FM at Nsawam after saying goodbye to her listeners today Wednesday, October 31, 2018 on Agoo FM, this was after she hosted her last show on the station this afternoon.
Opokua Patience joined Agoo FM from Hi FM in 2014.
The program which will be starting on Monday, November 5, 2018, is expected to be the maiden political show aired on the station after 3 years in operation.
The choice of management of Joy Daddy Multimedia to seek the services of the host mainly depends on her experience, ability, posture, commandant, confidence, hard work and dedication on the job over a decade.
Abena Opokua Ahwenee started her career at Life FM in 2007 Nkawkaw and later moved to Hi FM at Kwahu Abetifi but returned to Nkawkaw when the station was moved there.
In 2014, Opokua Ahwenee joined EIB’s Agoo FM as a senior broadcast journalist, host of “WO Ka no Sen”, an evening news analysis program and rose to become the deputy news editor.
She was adjudged the best newscaster in the whole of the Eastern region during the 2016/17 Foklex Awards held in Koforidua.
Abena Opokua Ahwenee is happily married with two beautiful children and likes singing and dancing.
However, Opokua Ahwenee will be seconded by Emmanuel Martey (Nsempawura) formerly of Eastern FM as a co-host of the morning show with support from the news crew and the technical team making it a solid team for the task ahead.
Dadi 101.1 FM which is situated in Nsawam has been able to prove itself by widening its listenership base as it has wider coverage area in the Greater Accra and Eastern regions with extension to the Central, Eastern, and Western regions.
The program will start at 06:30GMT and close at 09:00GMT with a well-packed segment all in a way of informing, educating and entertaining for the development of the country.
Meanwhile, both the morning show host and management of Joy Daddy Multimedia have declined to comment on the contract terms as their only motive to ensure that the projected target is achieved.
In a related development, Brytfmonline can also confirm that Dadi 101.1 FM will also be streaming live the news broadcast from its mother station, Bryt 99.1 FM in Koforidua in the morning at 05:50GMT, midday at 11:50GMT and 17:50GMT daily.
