Yeshaw Mohammedu, a 17 year old boy has been abandoned at the Out patients Department (OPD) of the Tamale Teaching Hospital for two days now.
He was transferred from the Nalerigu Baptist Medical Center (BMC) to the hospital to undergo an emergency surgery following a terrible motor accident he encountered three days before.
He had a broken skull and the condition continues to deteriorate following the strike action by doctors and other health professionals at  the Tamale Teaching Hospital on Tuesday.
The strike action triggered after a New Patriotic Party (NPP) affiliated vigilante group in the northern regional capital called Kandahar boys locked the offices of Dr. David AKolbila, the Chief Executive Officer of the Hospital.
Police have arrested one Baba Alhassan, the spokesperson of the Kandahar boys to assist with  investigations.
According to the northern regional police public relations officer DSP Mohammed Yussif Tanko, the suspect will be charged for assault, Unlawful Entry and Offensive Conduct.
Management and staff of the government hospital TTH which is the only referral point for the regions of the North has since not returned to their duties waiting for their demand to be worked at.
They demanded a police post at the hospital, arrest and prosecution of the perpetrators and render an unqualified apology for the entire staff of the hospital.
Meanwhile, the police earlier arrested four men who they freed later because they were not identified by the hospital to be part of the boys who caused the may harm.
