The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), the African Trade Center and Ghana’s Embassy in Turkey have had a collaborative effort to ensure gains in Ghana’s Industrial Sector. This was revealed to the media by Mr. Ernest Kwarteng, country Director for African Trade Center.
According to him, African Trade Center represents the interests of sister city relationships between Ghana and Turkey through Ghana’s Embassy in Turkey, business establishments, development and general trade activities between the two countries considering the numerous opportunities between both Turkey and Ghana.
He says, through the instrumentality of the African Trade Center, a relationship between the KMA and Izmil city in Turkey has been established.
The Country Director for the African Trade Center revealed further that, the concept is to promote development cooperation that will benefit both countries.
Touching on business and trade establishment including their development, he says both countries have very good opportunities and through proper facilitation, jobs will be created because ‘more industries will be established’ he told the media.
Commending Ghana’s Ambassador to Turkey for buying into the idea and also offering selfless efforts in making sure a recent trip by the African Trade Center team to Turkey was successful, Ernest Kwarteng says Her Excellency Fanny Issah Egala nee Marcel promised to ensure all activities become successful.
Media and Promotions Consultant at African Trade Centre (Ghana Office) Kelvin Poku Boateng, mentioned that, the commitment expressed by Mayor of Kumasi Osei Assibey Antwi, a special consultant to KMA Yeboah Asare Kwadzo and other stakeholders was commendable.
Mr Suha Ozkan, President of the Africa Trade Center in Turkey earlier stated to the media in Turkey that, his organisation will endeavour to build good trade relationships with interested partners across Africa.
