The Aliu Mahama Foundation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Inner City and Zongo Development and the Ministry of Health, has launched the Zongolaafia project to provide free health screening to all Zongo communities across the country.
The project forms part of government’s initiative to ensure that issues surrounding the Zongo communities are addressed.
The Inner City and Zongo Development Minister, Dr. Mustapha Abdul Hamid, who launched the project pledged the governments support to ensure the project undertaken is carried out successfully.
Both Zongo Development and Health Ministers pledged to support the project in all endeavor to ensure residents within the Zongo communities have the requisite healthcare and are in good health.
They advised the residents to take the screening exercise seriously and make themselves available for screening each time.
Minister for Health, Dr. Kwaku Agyemang Manu, promised his outfits availability to provide the necessary facilities to enable the Foundation achieve its objective which also falls in line with the core objectives of government.
The Executive Director of the Foundation, Dr. Samuel Frimpong, also indicated how well and organized the foundation has planned to undertake the ZongoLaafia project on all Zongo communities across the country
