The organizational strategy of the NPP in the 2016 election was superfluous hence it was not surprising that the party won the elections overwhelmingly.

The organizational structure of the party was strategically sharper than their opponent the NDC which was the main contender in the election.

“The NPP will win election 2020 overwhelmingly” – I keep asking whether those making such comments have a concrete foundation or they are making it out of complacency. Yes, the NPP can win the 2020 election however, winning an election goes beyond words to action.

The NDC holds PhD in lies, propaganda and deception hence the NPP has to double its 2016 campaign marshal to enable the party to win the 2020 elections massively. Let’s not forget the fact that, it is easy for an opposition party to win power than incumbent maintaining power.

For this reason, the NPP needs committed, dedicated, selfless and hardworking persons to occupy relevant positions to champion the course of the party towards making Victory 2020 a reality.

Archibald Cobbina – the current Greater Accra Regional Organizer and the Regional Director of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) who is affectionately called ARCHI is the iconic party executive to lead the NPP in Greater Accra as Regional Chairman.

The Greater Accra is a cosmopolitan region hence its political dynamism requires a dynamic person to study and move in accordance. Archibald has a long standing political experience in Greater Accra and beyond. Having followed the party from his youthful years, Archibald has a wide range of experience which crosses the political territory of Greater Accra region.

Archibald popularly known as “Grassroots Commando” has contributed tremendously to the progress and success of NPP in Greater Accra and the nation at large.

Archibald started from the lowest class of the political portfolios – he was a polling station executive. He has been a polling agent since 1992, he was a key member in the Hon. I. C. Quaye’s Campaign team – a team which permanently won the Ayawaso Central for the NPP. He contributed a lot to the party’s communication team between 1999-2000 – the hardworking team which brought Former President Kuffour to power.

As a two (2) terms Assembly Member, Archibald has laid a good foundation in the region. It was upon his longtime foundation that enabled the NPP to get 70% endorsement of the Assembly Members in the Greater Accra region which eventually led to the NPP takeover the region in the 2016 elections.

Archibald initiated and organized street storm which involved the showing of flash cards along the major streets in Accra by volunteer groups and also first in our politics as a country the Vehicular Float

It must also be stated emphatically that this innovative move helped the NPP win majority of the coastal seats in the Greater Accra region eg, Krowor, Ledzekuku, La Dadekotopon, Tema West etc.

Having climbed the ladder to the position of regional organizer, Archibold devoted himself to the task of winning Greater Accra region.

An agenda he embarked on from the day he was elected into office as regional organizer.

Archibold strategically convinced the leadership of the party to organize two mammoth rallies at the Trdae Fair Center in the La Dadekotopon Constituency. A calculated move to win the seat.

He strategically moved the regional rally to Tema East – a move to widen the gap between Hon. Titus Glover (MP3) and his NDC contender. Which eventually paid off.

Archibald is a man with great strategies hence leading NPP as regional chairman in the Greater Accra will be a blessing to the party.
