Assemblyman takes over from Fiifi Boafo at Oman FM

Hon Yaw Amofa Boakye an assembly member of the Asante Akim Central Municipal Assembly in the Ashanti Region, officially succeeds renowned broadcast journalist Fiifi Boafo as morning show host of the Madina Zongo Junction based Oman Fm.

He joined Oman Fm in 2008 from Konongo-based Kings Radio after four years and  until now has been a sit in host for some time, before he was officially unveiled last week  as the substantive ‘driver’ to the famous show.

Asked if his new role will be that easy he exclusively told mynewsgh.com that “I have assisting Fiifi Biafo for all these years bas the second in command for the morning show. My new role is very challenging, but l believe l have what it takes to deliver and l promise Oman FM listeners and my fans a wonderful delivery in the coming years”

According to him, his delivery will certainly match his expectations.

Yaw Amofa Boakye holds a first degree in Bachelor of Science (BSc) administration and currently a second year law student at the faculty of law at the Central University College.

Fiifi Boafo earlier this month ended his almost decade relationship with Madina Zongo Junction-based house housed in the Hollywood building and owned New Patriotic Party (NPP) firebrand Kennedy Ohene Agyepong.

He has since taken an appointment as the Manager in Charge of the office of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of COCOBOD and started work on Tuesday May 23 2017 after being granted years of sabbatical leave.

Fiifi Boafo joined the Medina Zongo Junction-based  media house operated from the Hollywood building  in 2008 from Tema-based Adom Fm owned by multimedia group, operators of some of the leading media brands in the country including Joy Fm and several free to air  television channels.He has refused to confirm or deny the latest development when reached but only disclosed that he was on sabbatical leave when may not be a regular voice on radio as he used to.
