Bimbila Chieftaincy dispute: Supreme Court rule in favour of Dasana gate

The Supreme Court has ruled in favour of the Dasana gate in the  Bimbila Chieftaincy dispute in the Northern region.

The ruling indicates the Dasana family is the rightful heir to the Bimbilla skin, affirming of an earlier verdict by the National House of Chiefs.

The  protracted dispute has resulted in the deaths and destruction of property in the area for years.
The matter was sent to the Supreme Court by the late Salifu Dawuni, the Nakpa Naa following the ruling of the National House of Chiefs in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, declaring the late Naa Dasana Andani Yakubu II of the Andani gate as the rightful occupants of the skin.

XYZ News‘ Charles Akrofi reports that there was wild jubilation at the Supreme court premises which was packed as early as 8.30 AM amidst heavy security personnel.
