A report purports that the bodyguards of President Nana Akufo-Addo and his Wife the first lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo own multimillion dollar properties in the capital city. The said houses, allegedly bought between 2017 and 2018, are owned by the protectors of the number one gentleman of the land and his spouse.

According to our sources, one of the houses worth £750, 000, is a huge seven bedroom house located at a prime suburb of Alajo in Accra. The property is said to have been bought from a Lebanese business man by one of the bodyguards. We have also gathered that most of the tall buildings springing up in the Alajo vicinity are also properties of these presidential bodyguards.

According to a source privy to the issue, the bodyguards, who were staying in a rented apartment prior to the 2016 elections have already moved into their mansions with special security details.

Apart from their properties in Alajo and areas in Accra like Pig Farm, the bodyguards have also purchased massive edifices worth millions of dollars in other parts of the capital. They have purchased huge plots of land at Drobo near Nsawam. Our sources got wind of the purchase following a petition to the Chief of Staff over activities of the bodyguards in the area.

Some of the guys are said to be family members of Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo.

We have gathered also that most of the V8 vehicles the last administration left have been released to the bodyguards for their personal use.
