SingPlus, Africa’s first karaoke app, today starts an online karaoke singing contest with Boomplay, the #1 downloaded music app in Africa, which allows contestants to win awards and honors by singing a song in a new born app called Boomsing.
To submit an entry to the contest, users need to install Boomsing, the brand new karaoke app brought together by Boomplay and Singplus, sing and record a song and submit it with hashtag #Boomsing. The contest is following the news that Singplus raised 3,000,000 US dollars in a financing round led by Transsnet Music, the Africa’s biggest music group whose sharehoulders including TECNO Mobile, Infinix etc.
“The strategic collaboration brings us a new app named Boomsing, which aims to providing listening-and-singing Boom Music service,” said Tiger Zhang, the CEO and co-founder of Eagle Mobi, “…making Boom Music the one-stop online stage for discovering and star-making, as well as assisting singers and musicians with their music career.”
The contest, opens from May 24 to June 7, sets 5 different levels of prizes, Infinix ZERO 5 Pro, Infinix Hot 6 Pro, to just name a few, for The Most Popular Singer, Boomsing King/Queen 2018, The Best Collab Singers, and some 150 Lucky Singers.
A contestant is free to pick any song to sing from the Boomsing songbook ranging from the most popular European and American songs to well-known African songs. By submitting an entry, users need to sing along to the instrumentals and scrolling lyrics, and upload the recording with the hashtag #Boomsing.
