GAR NDC Chair: JaJah to Re-introduce MOBISQUAD

939 total views, 1 views today has gathered that a Vice Chairman hopeful of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Greater Accra Region, Ibrahim Jajah – a known businessman is putting things in place to re-introduce ‘MOBISQUAD’ should he win the race.

This was reavealed by Nii Ayitey Armah, a youth activist who is also a member of Jajah’s campaign team.

According to him, it is part of Jajah’s agenda to ensure that the youth wing of the NDC in the GA Region are truly skilfull hence, the move by Jajah to revive the good old programme, MOBISQUAD. According to Nii Ayitey it is at the MOBISQUAD, that the youth are discovered and trained to be self equipped.

He said under the NDC 1, during E.T. Mensah’s tenure as the Youth and Sports Minister, the MOBISQUAD unearthed talents like STEPHEN ‘TONARDO’ APPIAH, MOHAMMED GARGO, among many others.

“As Vice Chairman in GAR, Ibrahim Jajah is preparing the grounds to push for a modified MOBISQUAD which will help discover and train the youth of the party in various fields of the Economy,” Nii assured.

In a statement issued in the Accra, on behalf of the IB Jajah, Nii Ayitey said another agenda is to ensure that women’s wing across the 34 constituencies are helped to revive and encourage to form more viable cooperatives to replace MASLOC loans. He stated that empowering the women through cooperatives will promote mutual assistance among them in working towards a common goal.

‘….As Vice Chairman of GAR, IB Jajah will advocate for women empowerment through this Cooperatives, to facilitate their (women) mobilization and development in the Region”, he added.

Nii Ayitey Armah averred that Ibrahim Jajah has more social intervention programmes that he intends to roll out when the delegates give him the opportunity to serve as NDC regional vice chairman.
