The beleaguered Principal of the Tepa Nursing and Midwifery Training College, Victoria Amoah is yet to attend before the Tepa Divisional Police Command to answer allegations of fraud levelled against her and one other.
She was invited by the Divisional Police Command Wednesday for questioning after an expose’ by Ultimate FM which accused her and the accountant of the college, Asamoah Richard of misappropriating GHS 10 million.
The two administrative members reportedly used fake receipts and invoices to financially drain the government institution annualy during admissions.
The alleged corrupt practice began in 2011 two years after the college was established, a development which has caused an invitation extended to her by the police, however she’s yet to honour the invitation.
In an interview with Kasapa Mid-day News Thursday, the Divisional Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Thomas Pawdu who confirmed the development said “We invited them here at 9am but as we speak, they’re now here and we’re yet to hear a word from them. We’re sending the Crime Officer to the school to find out what is stopping them from appearing before us. They cannot say they’ll not honour our inviation.”
He said the police visit to the college will not be to arrest the Principal and Accountant but are only on a fact finding mission.
