The Ghana-Nigeria Achievers Award (GNAA) Foundation, a platform that acknowledges the efforts of the various individuals in society, has honoured Samuel Bamidale Ojo, Youth Affairs Secretary of the Ghana United Nations Association (GUNA), for his impact on the youth in his neighborhood.
In an interview with Ghananewsonline.com.gh shortly after receiving his award, Bamidale Ojo said his motive of being selfless to improve people’s life is in his quest to unite the youth and the people of any country he finds himself.
He said he sees social support to improve people’s life and unite them in his community as a push to make their living a little better.
His supports to the youth is not only monetary, but socially and religiously to enable them withstand whatever situation they find themselves.
Presenting the Award, Jimoh Ajao, a business ‘magnate’ urged Bamidale Ojo to keep up with his good works of helping people so they could also contribute to the national economy of their countries.
A number of people also received the awards at the event, notabe among them is actor Richard Asante, popularly known on screen as kalybos.
The selection for Ghana-Nigeria Achievers Award is done through online survey nominations, people’s recommendations and appreciations.
This award comes off annually and it focuses mainly on Ghanaians and Nigerians, to solidify their bond as sister countries in the quest to transform Africa.
Bamidale Ojo acknowledged the entire GUNA members, especially the executives for the support and encouragement that always push him to greater heights.
“…I have come to believe in the little good deeds we do offer to our various societies be it direct or indirect,” he noted.
The citation to Samuel Bamidale Ojo reads,
“For Your Great Achievements In The Area Of Youth Development, Being A Positive Role Model To Young People Across The World And Constantly Projecting The Good Image Of Nigeria In the Diaspora”.
