Rapper, Michael Owusu Addo aka, Sarkodie, aka, has taken his position as the head honcho of the SarkNatives fandom and issued some eve-of-battle inspiration to his charges ahead of this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) scheduled for May 18.

According to the SarkCess label CEO, the brand has already cemented its place in music history with 21 VGMAs and therefore the feat has been achieved several times before.

However, he urged fans to still go on and annex more plaques for the family to make their superiority even more indisputable. Fans can do this by voting for Sarkodie in the eight nominations that he has secured in this year’s event.

In an outreach to his fans, Sarkodie, who in the past has been accused of arrogance, and for treating his fans like a piece of furniture, poured out his heart in a video, saying it has not been easy coming so far in the music industry.

Apparently, Mr. Michael Owusu Addo has come to the grand epiphany that he is nothing without his fans, in the wake of his nomination for an avant garde, ‘Artiste of The Decade’ category instituted by Charterhouse.

In this tight category, Sarkodie shares nominations with heavy weights including Okyeame Kwame, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Nacee and No Tribe, Joe Mettle, Efya, Becca, R2Bees and Samini.

The winner of this new category will have bragging rights over the Ghana Music Industry, like has never been seen before. Consequently, Sarkodie has to appeal to his fans.

According to him, the video in which he displayed the 21 gongs from past VGA events that he has annexed over the whole spell of his career, was specially for his fans, the SarkNatives only.
