The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Asuogyaman, Samuel Kwame Agyekum, has assured the people of the district of his commitment to completing all projects initiated by the previous administration.
According to the DCE, it is abnormal for a successive government to discontinue such projects, “it’s causing financial loss to the state and I will not do that”. He stated this in an interview with ghananewsonline.com.gh.
The DCE pointed out a numbers of projects initiated before he took office including a six unit classroom block with an office for Tosen-Nanyor Presby School which was in honour of former Presiding Member Seth Okai Ntoni. The Assembly has also paid about GHc40,000 to the contractor of that project.
“I came to meet GHc3.1m as contract debt, the projects are many and as I said we will complete them,” he revealed.
Meanwhile, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, Thomas Ampem Nyarko has said he is committed and ready to support the assembly anytime he is called upon.
