The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman for the Nsawam-Adoagyiri constituency in the Eastern Region, Godfred O. B. Twum, has cautioned members of the party to approach the 2020 general election with a United front.

The Constituency Chairman blamed the massive defeat of the NDC in the 2016 general elections to divisions that clipped the party ahead of the elections.

Godfred O. B. Twum was addressing the Party Branch and Constituency executives at the Prince Boateng Memorial School in Nsawam during day two of the John Dramani Mahama campaign tour of the Eastern Region.

“We as a Constituency are always faced with divisive challenges which has affected our vote over the years, but under my Chairmanship I assure you we are going to face the 2020 elections with a United front and thus tasking all ranks and file of our grate party to face 2020 with unity,” he stated.

Godfred Twum promised the former President of the readiness of the Constituency to give him their 100% support to make his come back a reality.

He revealed that the Party sidelined the Constituency during the eight years it spent in government without any appointee from the Constituency apart from the DCE.

He appealed through the Regional Chairman to the National Executives to help address their concerns as the party is going back to the Flagstaff house on January 7, 2021.

The Regional Chairman, John Anankrah, promised to address the request put before him by forwarding it to the national level.

The Regional Chairman said the Nsawam parliamentary seat belongs to the NDC but the NPP are today occupying this seat because of division, “but 2020 we are going to the elections with United front,” he stated.

He promised to sanction any body who will cause any division in the Region ahead of the 2020.
