The Eastern Regional Grassroot Communicators Association of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has congratulated President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for his good governance which according to them has attracted a lot of foreign investors into Ghana’s economy.
The association which was formerly known as the NPP Serial Callers Association also called on Ghanaians to rally support behind the government to enable it continue the good works that have started reflecting on the socio-economic livelihood of many Ghanaians.
This was contained in a statement by the Chairman of the association, George Boateng, popularly known as ‘Kuulikuli, let the poor enjoy’ whiles speaking with Nopras FM’s news anchor, Awal Adam on Nopras news monitored by Ghananewsonline.com.gh
According to him government needs to be recommended for the bold decisions to implement the free senior high school policy, planting for food and jobs, one District one factory, one village one dam among other policies introduced by the government.
“You see it is sometimes difficult to make some decisions and also doing your possible best to make sure the decisions taken becomes reality. decisions taken by the government to implement free senior high school education program, one village one dam, one district one factory project and has started rolling out these policies must be highly recommendable” he said.
George Boateng added that “all political parties and Ghanaians in general needs to support, recognized and appreciate the efforts of the government and commended President Akufo-Addo for transforming the economy”.
Kuulikuli then indicates that the NPP was poised and it will be able to fulfill greater parts of the 2016 campaign promises after advising the President to shun his critics and detractors but should do his best in the transformation agenda he has initiated leading the country to the promise land.
He also revealed that the overwhelming defeat of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in election 2016 indicate that the eligible voters were fed up with the previous government and he was optimistic that Ghanaians will continue to support the government to facilitate accelerated growth and development in the country.
The honourable Assembly Member for the New Juaben South Municipality revealed that the previous government mismanaged state funds, emptied national coffers and left the country with huge debts which Nana Akufo-Addo is on course to resuscitate the economy speedily.
“it is very early for the NDC to criticize the government because they knew how they had mismanaged state funds and emptied National coffers” Kuulikuli said.
That notwithstanding, he indicated that Planting for Food and Jobs, Nation Builders Corps programme and several poverty reduction interventions put in place by the government would reduce youth and graduate unemployment and better the living standards of the ordinary Ghanaians
Touching on party unity, Kuulikuli pointed out that the NPP remained a strong party under “a great elephant” and are ready to deliver.
