The Member of Parliament (MP) for Agona East, Queenstar Maame Pokuah Sawyerr, has honored a promise she made to selected schools in her constituency to provide them with dual desks.
The distribution has started with Agona Akwakwaa AEDA School which is benefiting from 100 dual desk out of the 500 the MP provided.
Hon Maame Pokuah did this in fulfillment of a promise she made to the school children when she visited teachers during school hours across the constituency a month ago, in the form of inspection and also to boost the morale of the teachers so they can give out their best in teaching the children.
During her visit to these schools, some of the school have five children sharing one desk and others writing on the bare floor. This sad situation appealed to the MP to come to the aide of these students in order to assist in the delivery of quality teaching in her constituency.
The excitement on the faces of the children, teachers and parents was a Sign of relieve and hope.
The MP also took the opportunity to meet with the party supporters who turned up in their numbers to show love.
Hon Pokuah Sawyerr also visited party faithfuls at Obratwawu, Mankrong, Mankrong Junction, Nsuekyir and Domoki to educate members on the upcoming branch elections and urged them to vote for dedicated and committed members who are ready to render selfless service for the party.
