The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for the Shai-Osudoku constituency, Linda Akweley Ocloo, has congratulated the newly elected regional executives of the Party in the Greater Accra Region.

In a press statement, the MP, who is a member of the Government Assurance Committee of Parliament as well as a member of the Food, Agriculture and Cocoa Affairs Committees, urged the new regional leaders to work closely with sitting MPs. She asked them to bring the rest of the contestants on board so as to help the party take back the seven seats it lost to New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2016 general elections.

“It is my fervent hope that the New leadership led by Hon Kwabina Ade-Coker, will use the party structures to reach out to all persons, especially the MPs and those who contested and bring them on board for the task of presenting to the people of the Region a viable alternative to the current super-incompetent NPP government,” the statement partly leads.

It adds, “As a Member of Parliament, I look forward to engaging the newly elected regional leadership with the aim of ensuring that the party re-capture the lost seven parliamentary seats and more in the Region, whilst increasing the presidential votes for our yet to be elected presidential candidate at the general elections in 2020.”

CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE FROM MP FOR SHAI- OSUDOKU CONSTITUENCY ON THE SUCCESSFUL GREATER ACCRA REGIONAL CONFERENCE OF THE NATIONAL DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS

On behalf of the good people of Shai-Osudoku and on my own behalf, I wish to congratulates the delegates and the rank and file of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) in the Greater Accra Region for a successful Regional delegate conference of the party held on September 1, 2018 at the University of Ghana, Legon.

The results from the regional conference shows, members of the party remained the custodians and embodiment of the values and principles of our great party. The peaceful manner in which the conference was organised reaffirmed our stature and correctness of the reverence with which we are held by the Party and the society at large.

I further congratulates the New leadership who were elected at the conference. I have no doubt that they are equal to the huge task of making a full and rich contribution to the work of the party at all levels.

I hope that the executive body has further committed itself to strengthen the NDC in the region as a weapon in the hands of the general members to fight the challenges of hardship economy, rising unemployment and inequality. I wish to reiterate that there were no losers in the elections, NDC won.

However, it is my fervent hope that the New leadership led by Hon Kwabina Ade-Coker, will use the party structures to reach out to all persons, especially the MPs and those who contested and bring them on board for the task of presenting to the people of the Region a viable alternative to the current super-incompetent NPP government.

As Member of Parliament, I look forward to engaging the newly elected regional leadership with the aim of ensuring that the party re-capture the lost seven parliamentary seats and more in the Region, whilst increasing the presidential votes for our yet to be elected presidential candidate at the general elections in 2020.
