Customers of mobile telecommunication giant, MTN Ghana in and around major market centres in the country experienced true customer service on Tuesday when over 1200 staffs of the company were deployed to go and assist in solving key network and data challenges.
The move forms part of the company’s activities to prioritise the customer as the world mark Workers Day tomorrow May 1, 2019.
The staffs selected from the various departments of the company assisted the customers to undergo sim card registration, sim card activation, and solve their data challenges. Some were educated on the advantages of the Mobile Money system, while other got the opportunity to experience MTN’s new products such as the TurboNet and MTN Smartphone, among others.
According to the management of the company, the intention was basically to get closer to their customers, interract and familiarise with their challenges so they provide better serviser for them.
Acting Sales and Distribution Executive of MTN Ghana, Nii Addotey Mingle, who led a team to the Agbogbloshie market in Accra, told journalists in an interview that they are more interested in the feedback from their customer because it will help serve them better.
“We are very interested in the feedback we are getting from the customer. It will enable us to do follow ups so we can satisfy our customers,” he stated.
He said the initiative has come to stay and would be held twice in a year.
“This is part of our Workers Day celebrations and we are here to interract with our customers. Instead of letting our customers come to us, we have moved to their doorstep.
“People met us with their questions regarding our services and they were helped,” Mingle stateds.
