A Deputy Organiser hopeful of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Greater Accra Region, Gambo Abdullai Zam-Atu, has said that the Regional Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) would not be a match for him when he is given the nod.

He made this assertions in Accra after filling his completed nomination forms to confirm his readiness to contest the deputy regional organizer position.

In an interview with the Ghananewsonline.com.gh, Gambo said he is a grassroots person with rich experience as three a term constituency organiser in Ablekuma Central.

He said the current NPP regional organiser knows his caliber when it comes to issues based politics. He wants the opportunity to deputized whoever would be elected the substantive NDC regional organiser, so he can support to deliver the party in the region and give it more parliamentary seats. He is hopeful that with him in the chair, the NDC is likely to win all the 34 seats in Greater Accra.

Gambo Zam-Atu also said he would insist that party logistics are sent to the constituency executives directly and not through Parliamentary Candidates.

He said he is not the type of organiser who would sit in the party office, because the organizational work is done on the grounds, so he will get in touch with the grassroots at all times.

Gambo, a former chairman of the Greater Accra Regional NDC Organisers’ caucus said he knows what goes on at the constituency level and their needs so he wants the nod so he can help address those needs one after the other.

To the delegates, he said, “….I’m at the grassroots with you and we all worked together, I am now moving to contest for deputy regional organiser position, I am number 1 on the ballot paper, vote for me to continue with the usual hard work at the region”.
