Some Youth groups of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are rooting for Hajia Tawa Raji, as the next national women’s organiser.
According to some women who chat with the Republicnewsonline.com in Accra, the NDC needs a totally different but hard working woman to lead the women’s wing for better delivery of victory in the 2020 general elections.
One Sebtiya, said they have followed the work of all those who are aspiring for the Women’s Organiser position of the party, and they have concluded that the best person for the job as far as election 2020 is concerned, is Hajia Tawa who can do twice of what her contenders are thinking.
She told this portal that Hajia remains a better person looking at the organisational skills she exhibited during the 2016 general elections.
Hajia Tawa Raji, founder and bank roller of Mahama Ladies went across the country to campaign vigorously as if she was the NDC National Women’s Organiser canvassing votes for the NDC, but for apathy the party could not win the election 2016.
In an interview with this portal after filing her completed nominations forms, Hajia Tawa who was mobbed by the youth, said it is high time the women’s wing see total transformation for real recognition because the NDC belongs to the women the most.
As part of her programmes, according to her, she is coming to empower the women’s wing economically in the various areas of skills training; she wants the first and second ladies of the NDC government to make time and be meeting the women’s wing regularly to strengthen them.
Hajia Tawa Raji further hinted that during her rounds towards the 2016 elections it appeared the women at the constituency levels have been neglected by the party and the leadership of the women’s front.
She added quickly that the NDC is a kind of political party that has the women at heart but leadership at times is the problem, hence, she is coming with a proper paradigm shift that she believes would be accepted by all when given the nod.
“…..I will ensure that when voted as the next national women’s organiser of the NDC I will move heaven and earth to bring back the lost glory to the women’s front so that together we fight for the party to wrestle power in 2020,” she stressed.
