NDC MPs from the North donate towards Yaa-Naa Yakubu Andani IIs funeral

The Northern Regional chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Ibrahim Mobile, on behalf of the northern caucus of the party in parliament has donated some items and cattle’s to the regent of Dagbon, as the Andani family prepares to perform the funeral rites of the late Yaa-Naa Yakubu Andani II.

He presented fifty bags of Rice, fifty boxes of voltic drinking water, two Cattle, twenty gallons of cooking oil and five thousand Ghana cedis (5,000).

The member of parliament of the Sagnarigu Constituency, Alhaji A B Fuseini, after the donation revealed the minority’s readiness to partake in the funeral next week. He further advised the youth of Dagbon to be law-abiding citizens.

The Regent of Dagbon, Kampakuya Naa-Yakubu Andani on his part thanked the minority caucus and the NDC for the gesture.

He assured to maintain peace in Dagbon before, during and after the funeral, for Dagbon to regain its lost glory.

The delegation included the regional vice chairman Adolf, Regional organizer, Baba Zei, regional Youth organizer Alhaji Inusah,  Deputy treasure Hajia Shamima and some constituency executives from Tamale and the Yendi constituencies.

The delegation later paid a visit to the kingmaker (Kuga Naa) of Dagbon. In a short speech, he advised the people of Dagbon particularly the youth to always stand by the truth regardless of the consequences. He further appealed for Allah’s guidance as he prepares to select the next Yaa-Naa for the Dagbon traditional area.

Meanwhile, an official announcement from the Yoo-Naa palace confirmed to that the funeral rites of the late King will commence on the 11/1/2019, and climax on 18/2019 at the forecourt of the Gbewaa palace in Yendi. wishes the Andani royal family happy, and Allah guidance throughout the funeral process.
