Noncompliance with provisions of the Act may attract either civil liability, or criminal sanctions, or both, depending on the nature of the infraction. The Act also establishes a Data Protection Commission, which is mandated to ensure compliance with its provisions, as well as maintain the Data Protection Register,
‘’The Act is to protect the privacy of the individual and personal data by regulating the processing of personal information.’’
What this means is that the Data and entire infrastructure of the Ghana Card including the Biometric information of Ghana’s President, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo is in the hands of a German Company, a development which according our Data security expert compromises our security as a sovereign state.
Our investigations also reveals that the National Identification Authority itself does not have access to the data they are collecting, by some design, every information they collect is transmitted to Dermalog, a 3rd party company contracted by Margins, our sources has made us aware that Dermalog can at will make back-up of the data and then whip out the original data and Ghana would be in deep trouble.
The sum effect of this breach is that our (Ghana) biometric Data can be used by the third party for identity theft.
