Some disgruntled polling station executives of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ho Central Constituency have threatened to lay down tools and also turn their back at the Party if promises that were made to them by their leaders are not fulfilled.
The polling station executives who were ‘armed to the teeth’ stormed the regional office of MASLOC, locked up the entrance door thus preventing staff from having access to the office claimed that, they feel deceived by their own party after they have worked in ensuring the party chalked victory in the 2016 elections.
According to them, the locking up of MASLOC office has become the only way of drawing the attention of leaders of the party to their plights since all internal remedies have been exhausted.
They said they were promised loans so they start their own businesses, however, two years into the reign of the New Patriotic Party government, the promises are yet to be fulfilled.
According to them, they have tried using sober approaches to attract the attention of leaders of the party on several occasions, however all have fallen on deaf ears.
They therefore stormed the Volta regional office of MASLOC and made working environment unfavourable for the staff, they also enjoyed fruits of their labour.
They have also expressed disappointments in the Nana Akufo-Addo led government and have further vowed to defect from the party if nothing is done about their situation in the net few days
