… Family Head grabbed for Fraud
The destooled chief of Ngleshie Amanfro who had his name deleted from the National House of Chiefs, Nii Kwashie Gborlor IV, a.k.a Koforidua, and his two elders are facing tough times in the community after they allegedly hatched a plan to defraud one Isaac Boakye Yiadom (Kofy) a known land guard who operates within Ngleshie Amanfro and its environs.
Ngleshie Amanfro residents were taken by surprise on Saturday August 25, 2017 when policemen from the Kasoa Police Command stormed the community to cause the arrest of the three persons including Nii Kwashie Gborlor IV, Nii Kwaku Botwe IV, the self-styled Dzasetse and Nii Armah Okine-Family head.
Although Nii Kwashie Gborlor IV and Nii Kwaku Botwe IV managed to escape arrest when they got wind of the presence of the police personnel in town, Nii Armah Okine, who has over the years been parading himself as the family head was picked by the police for double sale of land they have already sold to Isaac Boakye Yiadom.
Police sources disclosed that Isaac Boakye Yiadom had reported the three for extortion, after they have collected huge sums of money including cars from him for parcels of land which he had begun grading to develop in Ngleshie Amanfro.
According to sources, the three accused persons have also turned around claiming they have never sold any land to Isaac Boakye Yiadom; a development he believed was a calculated attempt to defraud him of his money and probably resell the same parcels of land to a third party hence his decision to report them to the police.
Close sources to the Destooled chief hinted that Nii Kwashie Gborlor IV and his Dzasetse who bolted away from arrest and for that matter could not go to the police station to seek for bail for the family head, have been calling some of their subjects from their hide outs and giving the instruction to ensure that they secure bail for the family head who was cooling off at the Kosoa police cell.
The three persons; Nii Kwashie Gborlor IV, Nii Kwaku Botwe IV and Nii Armah Okine have been described as “unscrupulous aliens” who have been fraudulently selling Ngleshie Amanfro Stool lands.
It could be recalled that early this month, the newly installed Chief of Ngleshie Amanfro Nii Akramah Nyonmor Bei II expressed disgust at reports that some people have begun clearing vast acres of land belonging to the Ngleshie Amanfro Stool in total disregard to the judgment of Suit Number SOL/12/09 and other on-going Court processes including Ngleshie Amanfro Stool Vrs. Odupong Ofankor which is still pending in Court.
Nii Akramah Nyonmor Bei II warned such persons to stop further works on the land or face legal action.
Meanwhile Humphery Dzartor Botchwey, (Nii Kwashie Gborlor IV), and some five others, including Nii Noi Morton, an estate developer, Festus Dzartor Botchwey, Nii Armah Okine, Numo Kankam and Isaac Aryee have also been restrained by an Accra High Court, Land Division presided over by Her Ladyship Justice Barbara Tetteh-Charwey from entering, occupying and developing parcels of land in the community.
The five have been sued for encroaching and attempting to take over parcel of land at Ngleshie Amanfro belonging to Nii Akramah Nyonmor Bei II the current Ngleshie Amanfro Mantse.
Subsequently, the said family head, Nii Armah Okine has been processed for Court and appeared at the Ofankor Circuit Court over the matter.
Ahead of this arrest, a tape recording of Kwashie Gborlor IV, in the possession of this paper has Kwashie Gborlor IV throwing dust into the hierarchy of the police service and the security agencies by asking the police to arrest Isaac Boakye Yiadom when he (Kwashie Gborlor) and Nii Armah Okine have defrauded the same Isaac Boakye.
The police is however cautioned to be very careful in their dealings with Kwashie Gborlor IV who according to Nii Akramah Nyonmor Bei II is playing double standard game by parading himself and deceiving the general public as far as Ngleshie Amanfro Stool affairs are concern.
Nii Akramah Nyonmor Bei II, current Ngleshie Amanfro Mantse and his Stool elders who challenged Kwashie Gborlor IV to show his lineage to the people of Ngleshie Amanfro, said they are still counting the days to see when he will call the people of the community to challenge this assertion.
More updates soon.
