We the concerned elected Ayensuano constituency executives wish to express our disappointment in an interview granted by our constituency chairman NANA DARTEH APPIAH to Adom FM and TV3 on the 4th of August 2018. In the said interview, our chairman was heard saying loudly and clearly that the NDC executives of Ayensuano and the entire Eastern Region NDC declare and throw their support for one of the aspirants of the position of General Secretary in the upcoming national conference of the great NDC party.
He gave assurance to Koku Anyidoho that the Ayensuano executives are solidly behind him.
We are by this, saying we felt left down since his interview got nothing to do with the executive board and he ought not to have included us. Also, as the chairman, he ought to have known better of the consequences of such statements without consulting his fellow executives to build consensus before speaking on our behalf.
Again, the position of the general secretary is one of the sensitive ones and whoever occupies such portfolio must be someone with good timing of communication ie when, what and where to respond to issues.
Furthermore, we deem it not appropriate for our chairman serving in the position as the father of the Ayensuano NDC to make such bias statement which seems to go against the current general secretary JOHNSON ASEIDU NKETIA who is in the race with KOKU ANYIDOHO.
His comments CANNOT/NEVER REPRESENT that of Ayensuano NDC not even to talk of eastern region at Large.
We will also like to tell our Chairman that more of his time and attention must be geared towards putting effective and prudent measures in place to recapturing our parliamentary seat from this inept, underperforming and crash super incompetent member of parliament for Ayensuano constituency, Ayeh Paye Samuel than granting interviews that in the long run may bring tension and disagreements among the executive board.
Finally, We are by this disassociating ourselves from the said statement made by our chairman and stating emphatically clear that he is solely responsible for what he said and does not represent the views and decision of the executive board.
