The European Commission is pleased to invite you to the workshop “The Right to Peace in the West African States” on 25 March 2019 in Abuja, Nigeria.

As last year marked the 10th anniversary of the ECOWAS Conflict Prevention Framework (ECPF), the time is right to engage openly with Civil Society Organizations (CSO’s) – a major component of the ECPF – on the strides being made to prevent conflict and boost security in West Africa.

The European Commission will highlight CSO’s work in West Africa and discuss their role in promoting peace and security in the region. To participate in the discussion, join one of the working groups focused on the EU’s contribution to prevent electoral violence in Liberia and Sierra Leone and the role of ECOWAS as a deterrent through the mission to Guinea Bissau (ECOMIB) and Gambia (ECOMIG).

To register and participate in the workshop, send your name, your last name, your occupation and the organization you represent to the following address: apf@africa-eu-partnership.org.

Due to the limited availability of seats, early registration is strongly recommended to ensure your participation.
