Royal Ladies break grounds for the construction of a rehabilitation center for women ex convicts

Royal Ladies of the Royal House Chapel International, are set to build a rehabilitation center in Ghana for women ex convicts. It is expected to serve as a place for the learning of trade to improve the lives of the ex-convicts.

President of Royal Ladies, Rev. Mrs. Korankye Ankrah, who revealed this during a ground breaking ceremony of City of Siloh in Agotor-Tsopoli on the Ada highway in the Osu District said

“It is going to be a place for ex-lady convicts, where women who have come out of prison will be housed and helped to enable them decode everything they have learnt from prison”.

She said “We will establish them in society and get jobs for them”.

Mrs Korankye Ankrah said focus is shifted on women because a lot of them are deprived in the society and needs to be empowered.

“The focus is on women because we realized that a lot of women are deprived in the society. We believe when a woman is empowered, she will also train others to be empowered,” she said.

The hundred hecare of land acquired ans named, “City of Shilo” will be used for the project will have about 1000 dormitories, 40 toilets and bathrooms, a canteen, an auditorium for empowerment seminars and camp meetings.

Mrs. Korankye Ankrah advised that all churches take up such initiatives to Help women in the society.

“This place is open to all for seminars, conferences, camp meetings and business” she said.

“I believe that if every church will take up what Royal House Chapel is doing, a lot of women will be empowered and Ghana will be a better place,” she added.

The ceremony brought together all ladies from the Royal House Chapel to praise God for the wonder gift to them.

Some of the ladies who spoke with expressed joy at how far the Lord has brought them.

“It wasn’t easy searching for land to buy in Accra. This was the reason why we are here because the Lord directed us to this holy place,” Josephine stated adding that

“We have named it the “city of Shilo” because this is where we will be delivered”
