Shareholders of oil marketing giants, Total Petroleum Ghana Limited, have approved the payment of dividend of Ghc 0.2050 per share for the year 2016 at its 41st Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Accra.
Speaking at meeting on the performance of the company for the year 2016, Ms. Ada Eze, the Executive Vice President for Total West Africa said her outfit continues to focus its efforts on offering the best quality products and services at the most competitive prices to ensure customer satisfaction.
She said during the year under review, the company launched total excellium fuel, a generation of high-tech fuel including total B2C Cards for individual customers as well as interesting concepts like Mug and Bean, KFC, Pizz Hutt on its network.
She announced that the company improved upon its health, safety and quality standards by moving its ISO 9001-2015 two years before the deadline. She disclosed also that Total Ghana was awarded 4th position at the prestigious Ghana Club 100 awards and was adjudged the best oil marketing company of the year at the Ghana Oil and Gas Awards.
On Total Ghana’s corporate social responsibility, she said Total Ghana rewarded the winners of the Total Startupper Challenger Project and provided financial and mentoring support to three young Ghanaian entrepreneurs.
Total Solar lamps, she explained continue to respond to the two important challenges facing the world. The challenges, Ms. Ada Eze added is access to energy for all and the development of clean and renewable energy.
Total Ghana’s safety programs, she noted provided platforms for communities to interact with road safety experts who assisted in creating safety awareness through demonstrations and sharing of real life experiences.
The Executive Vice President for Total West Africa opined that Total Ghana was poised to continue its vigorous investment programme which she said would be directed at upgrading the existing filling and service stations as well as opening news ones.
Mr. Olivier Van-Parys, the Managing Director of Total Ghana assured the consuming public that the company was focusing its efforts to offer the best quality in terms of products and services at the most competitive prices to ensure customer satisfaction. This, he added was a sure way of ensuring a sustainable position in a challenging market.
