CENTRE FOR VICTIMS OF INJUSTICE, GHANA (CenVI-GH) CONGRATULATES LAWYER FRANCIS-XAVIER KOJO SOSU ON VICTORY OVER 3-YEAR BAN

The Centre for Victims of Injustice, Ghana (CenVI-GH), wish to congratulate you, Lawyer Francis-Xavier Kojo Sosu, on your victory at the Human Rights High Court against your three year unmeritorious ban from practice by the General Legal Council (GLC).

Your long awaited victory is not only a relief to your family who were unduly deprived of the right to means of livelihood and of economy, but to other members of the society who depend on you for their means of survival.

The decision of the Human Rights Court, quashing your unjust three year ban from legal practice has also helped to restore confidence in Ghana’s judiciary and rekindled the hope of those who are being held up in prisons and other remand centres across the country without any just cause.

It is a fact that you may not be the only human rights lawyer in the country, however your unique zeal to promote fundamental human rights and justice especially for the less privileged and vulnerable in society sets you apart from the rest.

Once again, CenVI-GH congratulate you and commend the Court for standing for the truth and justice.
