The mortal remains of a renowned teacher, Thomas Ango Bediako, popularly known as T. A. Bediako, 87, will be laid to rest on Thursday May, 10, 2018 at the public cemetery at Bekwai – kortwia in the Ashanti Region, a spokesperson, Pastor Kenneth Appiah of the Parliamentary Christian Fellowship (PCF) has told newsmen.

Pastor Appiah, who is also a son to the deceased, indicated that, T. A. passed away a week to Good Friday at the 37 Military Hospital after a short illness.

He stated that the late father was a prolonged former General Secretary of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) after whom a hall at the teacher’s Hall in Accra has been named

Also, he was the former chief coordinator, education international (EI) Africa Region, and the Chairman of the 2004 Presidential Commission on Pension.

Pastor Appiah stated that there will be no wake keeping for his late father. However, the body will be laid in state from 05:00 am to 10:00 am at the family Residence, Berkwai – Kortwia, to be followed by burial service at the Kortwia SDA church school park from 10:00am to 11:00am, by the St. Francis Anglican Church, then internment at the public cemetery, Kortwia.

After, the final funeral rites will be observed at the Kortwia S.D.A. school park from 1:00pm, same day. Then on Sunday, May 13, 2018, at the St. Francis Anglican Church, Bekwai, there will be a thanksgiving service, at 9:00 am to be followed by a family gathering at the Kortwia S.D.A school park at 1:00 pm.
