About 5,000 members of the True Faith Evangelical Church thronged the Central Regional town of Agona Odoben at the end of the 2017 year to take part in the church’s annual convention.

The 2017 convention marked under the theme: “Salvation has come to your house today (Luke 19:9)” was under the distinguished petronage of the General Overseer of the True Faith Evangelical Church, Senior Apostle Moses Appah.

The whole town of Odoben and it’s environs was awash with people adorned in Angelic white apparels beseached the town from the 27th to 31st of December where the men and women of faith from the 113 branches of the church nationwide had gathered to mark the annual event.

While the men were in all white apparel with no sleepers on, the women were also clad in white clothes with white vails over their heads, excerpt their faces which were uncovered. Their dressings were such that there was no exposure of their hair nor their clivages throuout their time of worship of the God.

The True Faith Evangelical Church is a spiritual church which founded in Ghana in 1914 by Samuel Brako and two brothers, Edward Krofa and John Krofa.

The spiritual gift on Samuel Brako was not acknowledged by the Methodist Church he initially belonged. He moved out and latter joined forces with the two brothers who were members of the Seventh Day Adventist Church (SDA), to form the True Faith Church.

However, litigation over the headship of the church led to the division of their front leading to the separation of the True Faith Evangelical Church from the True Faith Church. The case has been pending at the Supreme Court since 2015.

The annual event is mostly organised by authorities of the church towards the end of the year to converge all the members of the church at one location to spread the word of God and to win souls for Christ.

Delivering his sermon as the special guest of honor at this year’s convention, the General Overseer of the Church, Senior Apostle Moses Appah called on the congregation to let their lives be worthy of emulation to others who want to follow Christ.

He further congratulated the church members and it’s leadership for standing by his word to relinquish without any resistance, their places of worship and all the church’s property to the True Faith Church they broke away from as a result of the litigation in court.

He exalted the congregation to rather look up to storing treasures in heaven and not be too bothered about those who want to disposess them of properties here on earth. He also informed them that the church has already started putting up its own structures for worship.

The General Secretary of the church, Osofo Daniel Tekyi told in an interview that even though the organization of the year’s convention was successful they had information that their rivals had planned to disrupt the gathering in order to cause confusion.

He extended the church’s appreciation to the security services, especially the police for the role they played in ensuring peace throughout the program because none of the threats came to pass.

The General Secretary therefore appealed to their brothers in the True Faith Church of Ghana not see them as opponents but brothers in the service of God.

The National Prophet of the True Faith Evangelical Church, Senior Prophet Samuel Osei on his part, informed that the church had prayed for God’s intervention against some negative prohecies that God revealed concerning the nation in the year 2018. They have prayed against premature death, road accidents and political unrest among others.
