10 Injured in Cape Coast–Accra Highway Accident
According to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), the vehicle veered off the road into a nearby bush.
Ten passengers on board a Toyota HiAce with registration number GB 2053-22 sustained various degrees of injuries after an accident on the Cape Coast–Accra highway on Sunday evening.

“On Sunday, July 21, 2024, at 0633 hours, the Central Regional Headquarters Sub-Station of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) responded to a vehicular accident on the Cape Coast – Accra highway near Childcare School junction.”
The injured, according to the Service were conveyed in ambulances to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital.
“Five (5) of the injured passengers had self-rescued before the arrival of the crew. All the injured were then transported in 3 Ambulances by the National Ambulance Service to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital for treatment.”
The Service is yet to ascertain the cause of the accident.
