The Communications Department of the Ghana Football Association has put in a request for an increment of the media accreditation for the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Ghana was given only ten accreditation quota for the written press and two for photographers.
The world’s football governing body opened media accreditation for the tournament on Monday, June 27, 2022 across the world.
As stated by the Ghana Football Association, the Communications Department are requesting for an increment before the deadline.
“Having in mind the increasing demand for media accreditation back home, the Communications Department of the Ghana Football Association has put in a request for an increment of the quota,” via the GFA’s website.
The FIFA World Cup 2022 will be the most compact edition of the tournament since the inaugural edition in 1930. With four matches a day during the group stage for the first time, all the action will be concentrated in and around Doha, with no internal flights needed and the possibility to book one single accommodation for the entire tournament.
For the benefit and comfort of accredited journalists, FIFA and Q22 will make the best of this unique set-up and offer centralised, state-of-the-art infrastructure and services to accredited media.
The FIFA Men’s World Cup is scheduled to kick off from 21st November to 18th December 2022
