The current Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr. Addison was appointed by President Akufo-Addo after forcibly removing the previous Governor and his Deputy.

President Akufo-Addo’s reason for hand-picking Dr. Addison was that he wanted a Governor who shared in his vision and that he could not work with those then at post.

President Akufo-Addo paid the full salaries and emoluments of the Governor and his deputy, so they leave office for his choice can take office…

TODAY, THE BANK OF GHANA HAS BEEN NAVIGATED TO THE DESTINATION OF THE AKUFO-ADDO-BAWUMIA GOVERNMENT VISION BY GOVERNOR ADDISON.

THE BANK OF GHANA IS BANKRUPT.

The over exposure of the Bank of Ghana by printing money, illegally lending to government without Parliamentary approval over and above the threshold allowed by the law governing the Bank are traceable to the recklessness of the Governor and his appointing authority.

The fiscal and monetary indiscipline and recklessness has navigated Ghana back to HIPC, the IMF and an unprecedented financial crisis – Bankruptcy!

The reckless spending by the Bank of Ghana on frivolities including a new Office Complex, Vehicles and Computer is eclipsed by a 300% rise in banking supervision when senior government officials choose to keep huge amounts of foreign currency and Ghana Cedis outside the banking system, in their bedrooms and in polytanks…

Why is the Governor of the Bank of Ghana still at post?

Same reason the Finance Minister is still at post.

REASON:
President Akufo-Addo’s satisfaction with their abysmal performance which is excellently in synch with his vision.

Somebody must be held responsible for the monumental economic mess.

The head of the Economic Management Team, Dr. Bawumia and the members of his “Solid Team”, most of whom are contesting with him to become NPP Flagbearer.

There must be a forensic COVID-19 audit as well as the cancellation of the COVID-19 levy and E-LEVY…

Ghana can be saved, simple solutions exist.

Arrest the steep decline in the nation’s economic fortunes.

Arrest of those responsible for the economic mess is an imperative.

That will include the Economic Management Team, the Governor and government officials such as Cecilia Dapaa and Presidential Staffer Nuhu who are known to have been illegally hoarding money in their homes.

Ghanaians are resolved to be Citizens and not Spectators.

Citizens Arrests may begin soon, if the State institutions fail to arrest those responsible for the excruciating economic hardships Ghanaians are suffering.

GHANA DOES NOT NEED AVOIDABLE CIVIL UNREST…

Ghanaians must resist any military adventurers taking advantage of the economic crisis and excruciating suffering of Ghanaians to stage a coup…

However, it is noteworthy that we recall what President Akufo-Addo said in the studios of Peace FM on Kwame Sefa Kayi’s Kokrokoo show that Ghanaians are likely to have an UPRISING if the prevailing conditions continued…

Which prediction has been confirmed by the former Chief of Staff Kojo Mpiani and former National Security Coordinator Brigadier General Nunoo-Mensah…

To avoid an UPRISING, the miscreants Looting State Funds, State Lands and Bungalows must not be spared…

Arrests, investigations, interdictions, prosecutions and jailing must start to assuage the anger of the suffering Ghanaians, millions of whom are unemployed, under-employed and HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE…
