Address party faithful during the official launch of the 2024 Manifesto of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), a leading member, Madam Elizabeth Ohene, extolled the party’s enduring commitment to social equity, healthcare, and the empowerment of women. Her remarks emphasized the NPP’s track record in supporting the marginalized and fostering a society where every citizen can thrive.

She proudly recounted the party’s initiatives aimed at uplifting the deprived in society. “The NPP has a proud record of identifying the deprived in society,” she stated, highlighting the restoration of the nurses’ allowance, which had been previously canceled. According to her, this move has provided critical support to young nurses, enabling them to pursue their careers without financial hindrance.

Ohene proudly announced that it was under the NPP’s tenure that the Affirmative Action Bill was passed into law, marking a significant step towards gender equality.

In the realm of healthcare, Ohene declared the NPP’s investments as “unparalleled.” She highlighted the introduction of the world’s largest drone services, which have revolutionized medical care delivery, especially in remote areas. This initiative, she noted, ensures that even the underprivileged receive timely medical assistance.
