Tallying an impressive 5.2 million searches for their club jersey, the Spanish giants continue to hold a firm grip on the hearts of football enthusiasts worldwide.

The study sheds light on the enduring appeal of legendary footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, whose jersey remains a perennial favourite across the clubs he’s graced, including Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Juventus. Despite departing from Manchester United amidst controversy, Ronaldo’s jersey continues to command attention, reflecting his unmatched influence even years after his departure.

Not far behind, Manchester United claims the second spot in the rankings with 4.8 million searches for their club jerseys. While the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo caused a stir among fans, his jersey maintains a strong presence in the search queries, alongside the rising popularity of Marcus Rashford among the current squad.

Barcelona, despite bidding farewell to Lionel Messi, secures the third position with 3.3 million searches for their jerseys. The emergence of Robert Lewandowski as the current top player reflects the club’s resilience in maintaining fan engagement despite significant roster changes.

Casino Encyclopedia has recently compiled a study to find out which football team’s jerseys are the most popular right now. They looked at how many times each team’s jersey was searched for, how many were sold last year, how much money was made from selling them, and what they usually cost on average. They also checked which current player’s jersey is most popular and compared this with the most famous players ever.

Real Madrid leads the list of most popular football jerseys among the fans, with an impressive 5.2M searches for their club jersey. The current star with jersey popularity is Jude Bellingham with 33K monthly searches, while the all-time favorite is Cristiano Ronaldo with 389K monthly searches. With 3M units sold at  average €150 each last year, Real Madrid’s jersey sales have generated €457.5M in earnings.

Manchester United follows closely in the second position, with 4.8M searches for their club. Marcus Rashford leads current popularity with 5.6K monthly searches while Cristiano Ronaldo’s jersey remains  the club’s highest searched jersey with 190K searches monthly even after his scandalous exit from the club. The Red Devils have secured earnings of €249.6M from last year’s jersey sales.

Barcelona takes the third place in the ranking, accumulating 3.3M searches for their jerseys. Current top player is Robert Lewandowski with 7.5K monthly searches for his jersey, while Lionel Messi remains the most popular with monthly 339K searches even after leaving the club. The club generated nearly €219.7M in revenue from jersey sales last year.

Manchester City ranks fourth, with 2.7M searches for their club jerseys. Earling Haaland’s jersey is both the current and all-time most searched with 25.4K searches for his jersey. City’s earnings stand at nearly €114M from last year’s sales.

Liverpool secures the fifth spot, with 2.4M searches for their jerseys. Mohamed Salah dominates current and all-time searches with 17K monthly searches for his jersey. The club has secured a revenue of almost  €281,7M in earnings from last year’s sales.

Arsenal follows in sixth place, with 1,8M monthly searches for their jerseys. The rising star Bukayo Saka leads the current squad with 4.5K searches, yet Thierry Henry remains the timeless favorite with 14.8K monthly searches. With 975K jerseys sold at nearly €110 each, Arsenal has gained more than €107M.

AC Milan takes the seventh position with 1.6M monthly searches. Kaká’s jersey is the club’s all-time most searched one with nearly 68.7K searches monthly, while current most popular player’s jersey is Rafael Leao’s with 2.7K monthly searches. The club has made nearly €45M from last year’s sales. 

Chelsea lands in eight place, with 1.4M searches for their jerseys. Reece James leads the current squad with 2.2K searches, while Didier Drogba’s jersey remains the all-time favorite with 7.8K monthly searches. With 1.3M jerseys sold at almost €142 each, Chelsea has generated €186M.

Paris Saint-Germain rounds up the top ten, with 982.3K searches for their club jerseys. Kylian Mbappé’s jersey currently leads with 72K monthly searches, closely following the all-time favorite, Neymar’s jersey, which gathers 86.8K searches. The club has earned almost €173.4M in revenue from jersey sales.
