2025 AFCON preliminary draw set for February 20
The matches will be played between March 18-26, with four out of the eight teams from the preliminary round, expected to join 44 exempted teams for the group stage.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF), has set February 20, 2024, for the preliminary draw of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.
This follows the conclusion of the 2023 Africa-Africa Cup in Ivory Coast.
The draw, which will be held in Cairo, Egypt, will include the eight (8) lowest-ranked teams according to the FIFA ranking.
Those teams include Somalia, Djibouti, Sao Tome, Chad, Mauritius, South Sudan, Liberia and Eswatini.
