The leader of the New Force Movement, Nana Kwame Bediako has posited that the National Democratic Congress’ promised 24-hour economy is a mirage and unfeasible with the current import-driven economy of the country.

According to him, it will only work in the face of industrialization.

Speaking at the launch of his 2024 manifesto for the Presidential Elections on September 1, 2024, he argued that “Only machines can work 24 hours and create 8 shifts. Who sells gari for 24 hours? The woman in Kejetia, Makola and Kantamanto cannot work for 24 hours a day.”

He therefore posited, “No industrialization, no 24-hour economy.”

The young politician intends to transform the sixteen regions into industrial hubs to add value to the various agricultural and mineral extractions and ultimately transform Ghana into the powerhouse of Africa.

Through this, he said 800,000 jobs will be created annually and eight million in 10 years.
