Ghana International Trade Fair Company (GITFC) has collaborated with the Ministries of Trade and Industry (MOTI) and Food and Agriculture (MOFA) to launch the 24th Ghana International Trade Fair in Accra. The fair is scheduled to take place from February 27 to March 8th, 2020 at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale.
The fair which is on the theme: “Value Addition, Trading Globally” aims to widen investment opportunities, particularly in the Northern part of Ghana.
Over 600 indigenous and international businesses are expected to converge at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale on February 27 this year to mark the 24th Ghana International Trade Fair.
The Head of Exhibition and Marketing at the GTFC, Oscar Asamoah Baffour, disclosed that more than 600 businesses in and outside the country would be participating in the Fair in Tamale.
“Ghana and several other countries notably Turkey, Spain, Italy, India, Syria, Pakistan, South Africa, Egypt and other neighbouring countries are expected to participate in the 24th Ghana International Trade Fair”, he noted.
He entreated organizations to register their businesses for the event, adding that this will maximize their opportunity to expanding their business frontiers.
A confident Baffuor noted that, the participation of organizations will enhance strategic cooperation and strengthen business linkage while increasing trade, services, innovation and exchange of ideas for socio-economic growth.
“I urge all businesses out there to come and register and partake in the fair as the event promises to put their brands names in higher pedestal within the business community,” he said.
He said the event would offer an opportunity for exhibitors to introduce their brands and products to emerging and existing companies across the continent.
The Trade Fair, according to Baffour would allow collaborative inputs from all interested groups and organizations to offer services before, during and after the fair.
Notable expected at the event include Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Association of Ghana Industries, Council for Scientific and Industrial Research and the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce.
Others are the National Board for Small Scale Industries, Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, Ghana Export Promotion Centre, Ghana Free Zones Board, Registrar Generals’ Department, Skills Development Fund, GRATIS Foundation and some Banking Institutions.
There would be seminars, durbars and exhibitions among others.
