43 Covid-19 epicentres in Greater Accra, Ashanti and Central regions to be vaccinated on March 2
Some 43 districts that have been identified as the epicentres of the spread of Covid-19 will be vaccinated on Tuesday.
Twenty-five districts in the Greater Accra, 16 in the Ashanti as well as two others in the Central regions will be the first to get the vaccines.

This was disclosed by President Akufo-Addo Sunday when during his 24th national address on measures his administration is taking to mitigate the effects of the novel coronavirus disease.
He said despite the commencement of the vaccination programme in the aforementioned districts, government has rolled out a national plan to get 20 million Ghanaians vaccinated by the end of 2020.
President Akufo-Addo announced the National Vaccine Deployment Plan which determines who gets vaccinated against the coronavirus disease and when.
He said to ensure a smooth exercise, 12,471 vaccinators, 37,413 volunteers and 2,079 supervisors would be deployed for the entire vaccination campaign.
He said the population has been segmented into four groups and that will determine which section of the population gets vaccinated at a particular time.
This follows the arrival of some 600,000 doses of vaccines deployed into the country to aid in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
From Tuesday, March 2, to Monday, March 15, 2021, the Ghana Health Service will begin deployment of the 600,000 AstraZeneca vaccines.
“It will be conducted in 43 districts, which are the epicentres of the pandemic in the country. They are 25 in Greater Accra, 16 in Ashanti, and two in the Central Region. The Ghana Health Service, as from tomorrow, will give precise details,” President Akufo-Addo disclosed
