Broad daylight gun battle erupts between police and robbers in Spintex Bank Heist

In a bold daylight heist, the Pan African Savings and Loans branch next to FBN Bank on Spintex Road in Accra became the target of a robbery.

 

Reports indicate that two young armed men followed a person carrying a cash-filled bag to the bank. The robbers, who had been lurking near Top Pharmacy across from the bank, seized their chance to strike when they saw the individual.

 

Despite a fierce gunfight between the robbers and the police, the criminals managed to flee with the money.

 

Eyewitnesses mentioned that a delayed police response might have played a role in the robbers’ successful escape.

 

Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident.
