GTA, police probe mysterious death of KNUST graduate in hotel

The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) and the police have commenced an investigation into the mysterious death of Lois Abena Koranteng, a 24-year-old Petroleum Engineering graduate of KNUST, in a hotel at Takoradi.
The deceased checked into the CrisLord Palace Hotel on June 7, 2024, with her boss and the company’s driver but was found dead in the hotel’s pool the following morning with no visible signs of injuries.
Earlier reports indicate that the hotel’s CCTV cameras were not functioning during the week of the incident.
The family is convinced the young lady was murdered and dumped into the pool.
Meanwhile, the Western Regional Director of the Ghana Tourism Authority, Henry Yeleduor, has confirmed that his office is collaborating with the police to probe the unexplained death of Lois.

According to Mr. Yeleduor, the team is working closely with the management of the CrisLord Palace Hotel to ascertain the cause of Lois’ death.
This incident has gone viral on social media, with many questioning how it happened and why the news only became known a month later.
The family of the deceased and close friends took to social media to seek justice for Lois following her strange death.
