C/R: Two persons sentenced for 4 years imprisonment for hiring land guards to attack chief’s palace
The two, who are serving two years each for the sentencing, recruited some land guards to lock the Gomoa Akotsi chief’s palace.
An Awutu Bereku District Court presided over by her ladyship Naomi Kunto, has sentenced two brothers for four years imprisonment, for attacking a chief’s palace.
The two, who are serving two years each for the sentencing, recruited some land guards to lock the Gomoa Akotsi chief’s palace.
According to the prosecutor, the suspects, Kwabena Annan, 35, and Kwabena Anum, 31, had earlier indulged in same act two years ago.
The two brothers hired land guards to lock the palace and got arrested. They were sent to the Kasoa Circuit Court where they pleaded guilty and made to sign a bond of good behaviour.
However, the prosecutor indicated the two brothers replicated the act in May 2024, hiring land guards to once again lock the palace.
He explained that the land guards undertook the exercise at a time when the Gomoa Akotsi chief, Nana Safo Ninson, and his elders, were about to perform some rituals at the palace.
They were sentenced to four years imprisonment of two years each with hard labour.
