Dec.polls: Bagbin urges Ghanaians to choose “light over darkness”
He urged the electorate to choose leaders who are willing to acknowledge the difficulties faced by Ghanaians and take responsibility for fixing them, rather than those who deflect blame for their leadership failures.
The Speaker of Parliament, Mr Kingsford Alban Bagbin, has called on Ghanaians to make a critical decision in the upcoming December elections, framing it as a choice between “light and darkness.
” In a statement, Mr Bagbin highlighted the significance of the elections, describing them as an opportunity for the country to reset its course towards growth and trustworthy leadership.
Mr Bagbin criticized the current state of governance, mentioning “misgovernance, harsh living conditions, greed, insecurity, a lifeless economy, galamsey (illegal mining), LGBT activism, hopelessness, and increasing loss of trust in public utterances by officials.”
He urged the electorate to choose leaders who are willing to acknowledge the difficulties faced by Ghanaians and take responsibility for fixing them, rather than those who deflect blame for their leadership failures.
“I pray we all have the courage to confront our fears and make a choice that will restore our country and make it the beacon of hope and growth in Africa again,” he added.
