Speaking during a meeting with the Parliamentary Select Committee on Sports, Culture, and Tourism, chaired by Kwabena Mensah Woyome, the Minister challenged the claim, questioning the metrics used to assess his performance.

“I want to disagree with your statement that as a minister, I am the worst in terms of numbers. I don’t know the numbers you are talking about. You should be able to tell me which data you are using to determine that during my time, I am the worst,” he stated.

The Minister also used the platform to address concerns over the USD3 million spent on the Black Stars’ AFCON campaign in Côte d’Ivoire, explaining that the budget covered essential costs.

These included per diems, travel, medical expenses, logistics, and hospitality over the team’s 11-day stay.
