The situation has a burden on both human and food security as the Saboba District happens to be one of the region’s largest producer of yam and other food crops.

According to Security Analyst and independent candidate for the Saboba Constituency, Emmanuel Kotin, the over politicization of development interventions in the Saboba District is to blame for their woes.

“The residents are suffering from the impact of the floods compounding their already bad situation. Our problem is over politicization of our development issues, because if our roads were fixed with good culverts and bridges, we won’t be where we are.”
