Apostle Agbalenyoh Calls for Support to Guide Youth Away from Sexual Immorality
The Apostle expressed concern over the dominant role social media plays in promoting immoral behavior among the youth.
The Spiritual Leader and Founder of the Seventh Day Theocratic World Congregation, Apostle Kadniel E.H. Agbalenyoh, has made a passionate call to his followers to help the youth overcome the growing challenge of fornication. He emphasized the need for collective responsibility to guide young adults toward marriage as a solution to avoid immoral behaviors like fornication and adultery.
Speaking during a sermon on October 12, 2024, at the church’s premises in Homedakrom (Shalom Shalom), Apostle Agbalenyoh highlighted the theme, “Helping the Youth to Marry,” referencing 1 Corinthians 7:1-2. He noted that young adults are often faced with the temptation of fornication, especially when they lack financial support or the means to marry. He urged parents and the church to assist young people in forming families rather than merely condemning them for their mistakes.
“Are we not embarrassed when young adults commit fornication and face public suspension? Instead of shaming them, the church must take its role seriously and support those who wish to marry,” Apostle Agbalenyoh remarked.
Controlling False Sexual Desires
The Apostle explained that natural changes during adolescence lead to heightened sexual feelings, which, if not properly managed, could result in immoral behaviors like fornication or prostitution. He cited biblical references, such as Genesis 1:27-28 and 1 Corinthians 6:12, to support his call for proper guidance of the youth.
“It is time to address this unwholesome situation and help young adults avoid sexual immorality by promoting lawful marriages,” he stated.
Pre-Marital Sex Dishonors Christ
Apostle Agbalenyoh also warned that engaging in pre-marital sex dishonors Christ and brings social disgrace to families. He pointed out that, in biblical times, sexual immorality was met with severe punishment, such as stoning or burning, and stressed that it remains unlawful for members of the Seventh Day Theocratic World Congregation to engage in sexual immorality before marriage (1 Corinthians 6:18-20).
The Role of Social Media in Youth Immorality
The Apostle expressed concern over the dominant role social media plays in promoting immoral behavior among the youth. He noted that many young people use these platforms for inappropriate activities rather than leveraging them for positive purposes, like industrial development. He also criticized Western authorities for legalizing homosexuality, lesbianism, and bestiality, which he claimed undermines biblical principles.
“It is up to the Judaic-Christian community to raise children according to biblical teachings and the fear of Almighty God,” Apostle Agbalenyoh stressed, quoting Deuteronomy 23:17-18.
Parents’ Role in Guiding the Youth
Apostle Agbalenyoh concluded by urging parents, especially those with strong Judaic backgrounds, to be actively involved in their children’s upbringing. He stressed that a united approach in disciplining children is essential to preventing Satan’s influence within families, citing Matthew 12:25.
“Parents can help their children navigate the complexities of modern society, despite the challenges posed by sophisticated technology and media influences,” he said.
The Apostle’s message calls for a renewed commitment from both the church and parents to protect the youth from falling into sexual immorality, offering marriage as a key solution to the issue.
