The Ark Foundation, a Christian mission-based nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the rights of women and children, has launched the Shelter Treasury Fund to provide sustainable funding for its shelter operations and related services. Founded in 1995, Ark Foundation has long been a beacon of hope, offering refuge for those escaping violence and abuse.

As Ghana’s first organization to establish a shelter for abused women and children in 1999, Ark Foundation has been instrumental in breaking the cycle of violence across communities. However, funding constraints led to the shelter’s closure in 2016, disrupting its role as a lifeline for thousands of vulnerable individuals. With the launch of the Shelter Treasury Fund, Ark Foundation aims to revive and sustainably support the shelter’s operations, ensuring that abused women and children have a safe space to turn to.
